What is pelvic floor physical therapy?
Pelvic health physical therapy is a specialized niche in physical therapy that addresses dysfunction in the pelvic floor muscles and surrounding tissues. It entails the treatment of symptoms related to bladder, bowel, sexual health, pregnancy, childbirth/labor prep and postpartum care.

What do Evaluations and Follow Up Visits involve?
During an evaluation we will discuss your symptoms. past/current health, and goals for physical therapy. We will perform a series of assessments to determine the root cause of your symptoms and create the best treatment for your specific needs. Pelvic health assessments may include full-body movement screening, strength/flexibility testing and external and internal assessment of the pelvic floor muscles. All exam components are optional and are thoroughly described allowing patients full ongoing consent in their care. You will receive a personalized home exercise program and pertinent recommendations at the end of your first visit.

Follow up treatment visits will be designed to help progress toward achieving your goals and improving your symptoms based on your comprehensive assessment findings. Treatments may include things like hands-on manual therapy techniques, myofascial/visceral mobilization, exercise guidance, behavior/lifestyle modifications, pressure management strategies with movement, dry needling, cupping, and modifications to your home program to improve your function.

Where do you treat?
The clinic is located in The Mill at Lafayette in North Kingstown, RI.
Upon request, we offer the convenience of virtual visits to simplify the healing process and accommodate your needs and schedule.

Do you accept health insurance?
Bespoke PT is an out-of-network medical practice which means we do not directly contract or bill health insurance companies. This fee for service model allows providers to practice with fewer limitations and without being influenced by insurance company policies. Our clinic space is thoughtfully designed to provide a safe and comfortable environment where patients can feel heard and never rushed or dismissed. We work with all patients to determine their plan, including frequency of appointments, driven by their needs. Payment is due at the time of service in the form of check, credit card, venmo, or HSA/ FSA cards.

Many insurance providers will reimburse you for out-of network physical therapy. Upon request we can provide you with an itemized superbill for you to submit a claim to your insurance company for reimbursement or credit towards your deductible. We recommend reviewing your out of network benefits prior to your appointment.

What is your cancellation policy?
In order to be respectful of the patients waiting for an appointment time to become available, we ask for a minimum of 24 hours notice to cancel or reschedule an appointment. A credit card is required to book a service, although patients may pay with check, credit card, HSA, FSA, or check at the time of service.
If an appointment is cancelled less than 24 hours in advance, a $50 fee will be charged. If this occurs a second time or a patient "no shows" for a scheduled appointment, a $100 fee will be charged.
